Pathways School Gurgaon celebrated 'INTERNATIONAL DAY' in a Grand Style
Pathways School Gurgaon celebrated 'International Day' on Friday 27th April 2012 to promote internationalism among the Pathways community. Pathways schools being International Schools have children from 55 different countries in the world under one roof.
The chief guest for the occasion H.E. Mr. Joao Cravinho, Ambassador, Delegation of the European Union to India, was welcomed by the School Director Mrs Paramjit K. Narang, the teachers and the students.
The program started in the evening around 5 and the school buzzed with Parents, Grandparents, Students, all dressed up in different outfits of different countries. The very attractive and informative classes were converted into countries. There were 18 different stalls of different countries like India, Japan, Holland, Russia, UK, USA, Italy, Spain, Hong Kong, Namibia, Denmark, France, Malaysia, Australia, Canada, Ukraine, Germany and Maldives displaying the countries culture, food, tradition, famous locations, birds, flags etc. The stall of India displayed various types of saris from all over India, spices, Diya and Rangoli, Rajasthan horses, food items like paranthas, ladoos, etc. Similarly, Japan had all the origami, little sumo wrestlers, beautiful flower arrangement, artifacts, calligraphy etc.
Students from primary school at Pathways dressed up in different countries' outfits performed a magnificent cultural program depicting the culture and traditions of different countries. All the parents were very happy to see their kids performing the dance of their respective countries.
The entire event was organized in collaboration with the Pathways Parent Partnership Program.
