Inquiry Fest Pathways Gurgaon
On the first day of October, students of MYP 1, 2 and 3 presented the Inquiry Fair as a part of their summative assessment. MYP 1 presented their Science projects, MYP 2 presented on their I&S work and MYP 3 presented on Mathematics.
For the Fair, the students were supposed to design experiments based on their assigned subjects. They had to keep in mind the scientific method and draft a clear action plan, documenting their entire working process.
The young minds of the MYP had designed creative presentations. The students were very excited to present their work. Students chose innovative themes and subtopics based on the subjects assigned to them and had performed experiments accordingly, which they had presented at the Inquiry Fair. They developed ATL Skills such as research, communication, and time management skills.
The students used the fair as an opportunity to express themselves, but they also faced many challenges - especially in creating their experiment hypothesis and actually performing the experiments. However, this did not deter the students from having fun - they had chosen various themes, such as sanitation and architecture, which interested them. Their experiments focused on the "why".
The parents and students of the MYP had a great time at the inquiry fair and everyone left learning something new.
