Planet Earth has its own day of celebration: April 22nd. In 1970, Senator Gaylord Nelson founded Earth Day. Now celebrated around the world, it's a day when we pause to think about the environment.
In Primary School, we believe in nurturing values of love and care towards all living beings and the environment. To mark the importance of the 'Earth Day', Primary School Students watched a movie in the School Auditorium on Monday, 22nd April. The movie was related to Planet Earth. Thereafter, the Students used Art as a medium to express their thoughts and feelings for Mother Earth.
As a service initiative, we also organized a 'Cookie Sale', for all the students to contribute to raise funds, which will be used for an environmental cause. Students also got a sapling to carry home at the end of the day to plant it and contribute towards the well-being of Mother Earth.
