Four students from Grade 11, Suhani Thandi, Shaina Suri, Madhav Arora, and Pranjal Tulsiyan, accompanied by Mr. Ashwani Parmar participated and repressed Pathways World School in a long-awaited Service Project hosted by King’s Academy, in association with Habitat for Humanity (Middle East). The aim of the project was to provide homes for two local families in the northern village of Ajloun, who were in need. Our students were joined by eight other schools during the project. This was under the initiative of Green Building, promoted by an NGO in Jordan, associated with the government. Our students built the foundations of two houses.
Moreover, beside the tough, yet enjoyable, work, there was a rich cultural exchange between our students and the students from the host school, King’s Academy. Students learned about their way of life and culture, and even picked up some of each other’s languages. In addition students visited Ajloun Castle, the Royal Forest Reserve, Soap House, Biscuit House, and more during our time in Ajloun. Students also got the chance to tour the wonderful campus of King’s Academy during our time in Madaba. Additionally, students visited the classic wonders of Jordan, such as the Roman Theatre in Amman, as well as the Dead Sea, and one of the actual wonders of the world, Petra.
