Grade 5 visit to CAN Pathways Noida
Selected students of grade 5, accompanied by the school counsellor, Ms. Aarti Bakshi, visited CAN KIDS on 28th May at Gautam Nagar, in New Delhi. CAN KIDS is a National Society for Change for Childhood Cancer in India & YANA (You are not Alone) - for holistic care for children with cancer and their families. The students handed over the cheque of 50,000/- to the organization from the CAS primary fund, the money was raised through student council initiatives. Rishank, a grade 5 student gifted crayons and biscuits to the organization as a gesture of love and empathy. The Pathways students displayed immense sensitivity and kindness throughout the visit. They were also courteous to the staff, as always. It was endearing to see the Pathwazians enact a humorous nukad natak on water shortage and looking after our environment. They also translated 'Cinderalla' into Hindi, with special sound effects, and shared jokes and riddles with the children at CAN KIDS. They made sure the children there felt cherished, valued and loved The Academic Head, Ms. Meena Abrol, patiently answered all the queries of our students. Pathwaysians also came back humbled by the experience and full of gratitude for life's blessings. It was heartwarming to see them wiser beyond their years. It was an enriching experience for all.
