Nothing is more precious than independence and liberty. On 13th August, we virtually celebrated our 75th Independence Day with utmost fervour and zest. The physical distance could not dampen the spirit of patriotism amongst our young learners. Students across grades, came dressed in tricolours and made the whole virtual celebrations vibrant. The early learners were familiarized with national symbols and the history of the flag followed by singing the national anthem. To give meaning to our independence, learners engaged in listening to a story “I am Independent”, creating tri- color bookmarks, tri color salads and their very own ‘Tiranga’ by pasting orange dal, green leaves, and cotton. Kudos to our Parents who joined them with equal enthusiasm.
Students of Grade 2, 3, 4 and 5 shared informative quizzes, facts, stories, and posters. Besides this, there were many activities involving the three colours of our flag. Students shared poems, speeches songs and dance to show their solidarity with their country. This really helped build up a sense of pride about our rich history and culture and gave us a glimpse of how dear this whole celebration was to them.
The celebrations came to close as the students sang the National Anthem remembering and saluting the people who made it possible for us to be a citizen of an independent and sovereign republic of India.
