The student-led conference reflects the learning journey of the children. At Pathways Early Years, we follow a thematic approach to help the children learn about various themes at different intervals of time basis their age and understanding. At the end of the theme, exhibitions are conducted wherein the parents are called to experience what their child has learnt in that theme. This helps the child to grow as a confident speaker and is overwhelming for the parents too.

The transition of children from toddlers’ grade to pre-nursery and further to nursery exhibits the confidence in public speaking skills through these conferences.

This conference was about Who we are (I am special). Learning about ourselves helps us understand and connect to our surroundings. This unit of inquiry helps children celebrate their individuality and learn about likenesses and differences. Children explored that they share similarities and differences with other children. They discovered that their physical features made them unique. They recognized their fingerprints are unique; No one shares them. They also discovered human relationships including families, friends, communities, and cultures; rights and responsibilities; what it means to be human.
