School Visit

You are most welcome to visit Pathways School Gurgaon and have an informal discussion with or without your child. This can be done by fixing a prior appointment with the Head of Admissions & Communication through mail at admissions.psg@pathways.in or telephone +91 9560145666. A meeting can also be arranged with the School Director or any other faculty member that you may wish to see.

Application

Parents are requested to be frank and honest in providing information in the admission application form. Adverse information if any, whether scholastic or behavioral, will not be a ground for refusal of an admission request. Any such information would, in fact, help the school to create a suitable environment for your child, once admitted.

Interaction

The interaction is as pleasant and nonintimidating as we can make it. It is normally conducted by Head of Admissions, School Director, the respective Principal, Head of Pastoral Care and Residence Co-ordinator (if applicable). We are interested in knowing about the child's/ student's educational development, use of language, social skills, academic enthusiasms and extra-curricular interests. The aim of the interaction is to find about what the student knows, understands and enjoys.

While coming for the interaction please bring with you the following:

Examples of the applicant's school work in the form of exercise books, portfolios etc.
Primary applicants (up to Grade 5) should bring at least one book which they are currently reading inside or outside school.

Primary school candidates are examined by the Head of Primary. This is an interaction and the child may also be asked to perform some simple activities.

Admission seekers for Grades 6 to 9 have an interaction and a written test. Testing is done for Basic English and Mathematics. For Grade 9, students will also be assessed for Integrated Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology).

Students are only taken into Grade 10 if they are transferring from a similar school and their admission is based on reports from their existing school and an interaction and test.

Admission to Grade 11 is by interaction and written tests in English, Mathematics and Science. All the IB Diploma candidates also have a meeting with the School Director. The candidates should demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements of the IB Diploma.

In Grade 12 only transferring IB Diploma Students are admitted.

Admissions during the year

Parents may register at any time during the year for admission in the current year and will be interaction whenever a place is available.

Admission

On being offered admission, parents are requested to pay the one-time Admission Fee and a Refundable Security Deposit within two weeks to secure the admission of the student. Subsequently, the student is issued a unique Student ID number. Parents further need to fill and submit various forms and declarations that would be given along with the admissions acceptance letter

Pre Term

The Pre Term Program offered by all our Schools is a specially designed program for students transferring from structured Educational systems like CBSE/ ICSE & other State Boards.

This 6- 8 week Program commences in April and assists students in acquiring a set of skills that will make the transition seamless. This Skill up gradation Program is customized to the need of each individual child and works towards closing possible Academic & Cultural Gaps identified, during the Assessment which precedes the Acceptance.

For first time students in Residence, this assists in peer bonding & builds the emotional quotient of the student. We offer a limited number of seats for our Pre Term program on a ‘first come first served’ basis.

You may apply online for this through a regular online application and after the Assessment choose to opt for registering your child for the Pre Term Program.

Grant of Admission

If the admission is granted School shall issue an Admission Acceptance Letter and Fee Proforma Invoice to the Parent/ Legal Guardian. Parents/ Legal Guardians are required to do the following within 15 days of the date of Admission Acceptance Letter in order to confirm and reserve the space for their child/ward:

Submit the duly signed duplicate copy of Admission Acceptance Letter
Deposit Admission Fee and Refundable Security Deposit as detailed in the Fee Performa Invoice

Upon receiving the same in order the Admission Office shall intimate the Student’s ID Number. This is a unique number allotted to a particular student and should be included in all communication made with school therefrom.

Depositing School Fee

Various School Fee as detailed in the Fee Performa Invoice can be deposited at the time of accepting the admission but not later than the dates indicated in the Fee Structure of the school. Students shall not be allowed to attend the school if all or any of the Fee/ Amount is due.

Student Allotments

The Admission Office shall facilitate issuance/ allotment of the following for each student:

House
Form Group – Each student is part of a form group under a Form Tutor. The Form Tutor becomes the First and Primary contact for the Parent/ Guardian in the school
Boarding House (for residential students)
House Parent (for residential sudents) – A limited number of students of similar age group are assigned a House Parent in the Boarding Houses.
Exeat Cards - This is a very important instrument for your child/ward’s security. Two exeat cards for every student shall be issued in every academic year(usually two weeks from the time the student joins the school).

Once the card has been received by the parent, it is the parent's responsibility to safeguard / report the loss of this card in writing to the Head of Admissions/School Principal.

The Exeat card must be presented,if asked for at the Security Gate of the school or bus stop.

Any person carrying valid exeat card is authorised to take your child from school.

Communication

Parent’s Login: All parents are issued their usernames and passwords to access their child’s progress through the web. This can be done by clicking ‘Parent’s Login’ link on the homepage of school website www.pathways.in All quarterly and Annual School Reports can also be accessed/downloaded through this.

Contact Details

Please check and verify your contact details and mailing address in your web section in Parent's Login. Any change in your contact details should be intimated in writing to the Communication office.

All cheques/ drafts/ remittances to be made in favour of PATHWAYS SCHOOL GURGAON payable at Delhi or Gurgaon. All Cheques/drafts/remittances must clearly state (a) Invoice Number (b) Student’s Name (c) Grade Applied For and (d) Student ID No. if allotted.
