International Women's Day Celebration
Pathways Gurgaon

International Women’s Day is a celebration of womanhood across the globe on 8th March. This is an opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate accomplishments of women to the social, economic, cultural, political and scientific contributions of women to society holistically. This celebration is also an endeavour towards attaining gender equality and equal rights and opportunities uniformly across the societies. By acknowledging and learning about these issues with our students – both boys and girls – we inspire action and create momentum for the more equitable and just societies.

PSG Library dedicated the 2nd week of March 2017 to International Women’s Day commencing with informative AV clips and books on renowned women along with celebrated books of all times by great women authors were displayed in the library. Various creative and intriguing activities were organized such as students expressing their initiatives, views and ideas for women empowerment, gender parity, and elimination of gender inequality were displayed on the ‘Equality Board of Fame’ exclusively made for the occasion in the PSG Library.

Kriti & Ayushi, students from Grade 7, also shared their thoughts with the patrons on this occasion. ‘TED Talks’ on Gender Equality and “Teach Girls Bravery Not Perfection” AV clip was also shared to the students during their respective library lessons.

PSG Library team sincerely thanks students and support team members for successful completion of week-long International Women’s Day Celebration.
