PWS Wins "Best Small Delegation Award at ILMUNC India
Pathways Aravali

Five grade 11 students from PWS Aravalli attended the prestigious Ivy League Model United Nations Conference, from 23rd November to 26th November at Hyatt Regency in Sec 83, Gurgaon, accompanied by Ms. Rohini Chandhoke.

Four days packed with serious committee sessions during the day and some fun in the evenings were interspersed with inspirational guest lectures by various eminent personalities from a range of spheres. They included Lt. General K.J. Singh former GOC of Western Command, Mr. Suresh Narayanan the Chairman & MD of Nestle India Limited , Shayamal Vallabhji a renowned Sports Scientist & EG Consultant and Faye D'Souza the Executive Editor of "Mirror Now".

The Conference was co-hosted by the International Affairs Association at the University of Pennsylvania and Worldview.

This MUN was one with a difference - it was chaired by highly qualified "Munners" from the University of Pennsylvania, who stressed on the role of diplomacy and cooperation rather than aggression in understanding different perspectives, assessing potential solutions and reaching consensus regarding diverse issues affecting the world today. The knowledge, eloquence and tact of the PWS team resulted in our students winning "The Best Small Delegation" award amongst 25 schools and organisations from India and abroad. Rishit Jain won the award for "Outstanding Delegate" in the UNODC(United Nations Organisation on Drugs and Crime) and Vidur Channa won an "Honorable Mention" in the IMO, where the protection of the oceans from environmental degradation was discussed.

Kudos to team PWS for this feather in their cap!
