An interactive session with the author, poet and translator, Ms. Deepa Agarwal was conducted for the students of Grade 4. Ms. Deepa has written about 50 books in English and Hindi. Ms. Deepa read a story from her book ‘Mahabharata Stories’, which has many enthralling stories from one of the greatest epics of all time.
Parents equally participated during this week and for our little ones from the nursery class, Ms. Sugandha Daga, mother of Shantanu Daga of Nur E, read stories from the book ‘Amma, Tell me about Ramayana’. Another parent reader, Mr. Gossain, father of Siddhi Gossain read a Chinese mythical story from the book ‘World Legends’. It spoke of ‘Why did the Chinese use animals for each year?
Students of all grades enjoyed creating and crafting their very own reading hats. They were excited to wear these hats which helped build literary energy inside and outside the classroom whenever they chose to read.
It was a treat to see how the young learners sat together on the lush green lawns under the sun, wearing their colourful reading hats and enjoying themselves thoroughly.
