It was raining stories on day 5, we had story tellers from different walks of life narrate wonderful stories to our dear children. Our support staff - the ever smiling didi’s, narrated age-old popular stories like the ‘The thirsty crow’ and ‘The greedy woodcutter’ to our little ones from nursery and kindergarten. Story teller Ms. Anushree Ghosh had grade 2 students glued on to the stories from the Panchatantra tales. Grade 3 had an opportunity to interact with the author Ms. Parvati Sharma who narrated stories from her book ‘Rattu & Poorie’s Adventure in History’. Grade 4 enjoyed a story session with Mr. Kamal, the primary music teacher. He narrated moral based stories from the Hitopdesha tales and the Grade 5 young readers enjoyed reading time in the school lawn as they carried books from their class library and read interesting tales.
Day-6- Where in this world is my teacher? Today teachers switched classes and went to different grades /sections to read a story on myths and legends to children. Students were very excited to listen to a story from a different teacher. Even teachers enjoyed this reading session.
Day 7 & 8 : CAMPING OUT- Children brought their favorite stuffed toys, cushions and read outside in the green golf area which was set up with reading corners. Soaking in the sun on a winter morning along with their books, children thoroughly enjoyed themselves while camping out.
