The lawns were filled with cardboard boxes of all sizes. Inspired by the story ‘Not-a-box’, our children demonstrated their amazing capacity to imagine and create. This unstructured form of Play facilitated our little ones to discover moments of imagination…thinking….creativity…..ideas. With a stretch of their imagination, they transformed the simple cardboard boxes into all sorts of things. ‘What do you imagine this box to be?’ was the question we posed to the little ones while they were creating. ‘It’s a rocket!.. It’s a slide!.. It’s a house!.. It's my skates!.. Its an ambulance!.. “ came their replies. Through this world of imagination, we also got glimpses of little stories being created…. Little role-plays and pretends plays happening.
It was a great chance for our Nursery students to collaborate in this fun and meaningful engagement. Amid lively music, laughter and cheer, they imagined and created a vast variety of things. It was endearing to watch our Principal Ma’am engage with the students and encourage them.
